It's easy to get outside and play when you live in Fuquay! We couldn't talk about the area's many parks and outdoor spaces without mentioning the famous Fuquay Mineral Spring Park. Believed to have special healing powers, the Park is a lovingly restored testament to Fuquay's unique natural history. Tour the restored springhouse, stroll through the grounds, and revel in the lovely atmosphere of this hidden Triangle treasure.

South Park is another must-see Fuquay Varina attraction. With over 25 acres of expertly maintained grounds, it's no wonder many of Fuquay's most popular community events are held here. It offers two illuminated softball fields, a baseball field, a batting cage, two playgrounds, hiking trails, and more. However, one of the most exciting parts of South Park is the Splash Pad, a 6,000 square foot pad with more than 35 water features.

Things to Do

While it has the appearance of a small town, Fuquay is big on fun! Residents have a wide variety of selection when it comes to things like parks, Friday night outings, breweries, restaurants, and more! Fuquay is always growing and adding new things to do.

If you're a beer enthusiast, it can be hard to pick between an evening spent at Aviator Brewing or the Fainting Goat Brewing Company — so why not try both? Each brewery offers phenomenal service and an eclectic array of expertly crafted local brews.

Public Education

Interested in moving to the Fuquay Varina area with children? You'll be delighted to know this community is served by the renowned Wake County Public School System! Shopping, dining, and drinking: oh my! Fuquay Varina has it all in spades. While we've touched on just a couple of the area's most popular breweries, there are many more we haven't covered like the Oaklyn Springs Brewery, Mason Jar Lager Company, and the Corner Biergarten and Bottle Shop.

During the warmer months, Saturday mornings are best spent at the Growers Market, a fantastic open market that offers locally produced fruits and vegetables, artisanal goodies, locally made foods, and more.  

Additionally, you'll find delightful shopping options at The Shoppes on Main. Located at 212 South Main Street, this unique center provides over 30 specialty boutiques offering handcrafted goods, one-of-a-kind items, delicious food, and more. 

Employment

With a low unemployment rate of just 3.8%, Fuquay remains a popular spot for young families and job-seekers. In fact, a number of major companies call this area, and greater Wake County, home. Some of this community's biggest employers include John Deere Turf Care, Wake County Public Schools, and Bob Barker Company.

Fuquay is also a great place to live if you're commuting to employment hubs like Downtown Raleigh or the Research Triangle Park. It's only 30 minutes to both by car.
